Race for Relief was founded in 2007 to provide the relief funds to the very Missionary Sisters of the Assumption who have provided so much hope to the South African community. Funds will go towards anything from updating the facilities and purchasing medical supplies at Sacred Heart House to founding the Education for Life program which continues to educate on the prevention of the AIDS virus.

One project very dear to the nuns is to provide for Zowdra, an amazing South-African mother of 5, who lives in a 2-room house. Her children sleep under the kitchen table every night and as the children continue to grow this arrangement cannot continue. The nuns would like to provide the necessary funds to add a working bathroom and a bedroom for the children.

With all this in mind, we have organized Race for Relief. We hope you can help us.
